Mesquite 2015 Summer Camp Schedule

Join us this summer for our All-Skills camps at Baseball Nation, Mesquite. This camp is designed to target the most important skills and techniques necessary to excel in the game of baseball. We look to polish overall skills as a player by teaching advanced hitting techniques, defensive skills, as well as mental preparation necessary to maintain a successful season.

Technical – Polish your fundamentals and mechanics in all aspects of your game including hitting, base running, pitching, fielding drills, throwing/footwork mechanics and sliding techniques

Performance – Increase your speed/agility, and build strength and endurance to prevent injury.

Competition – In game situational play against other players of similar skill level while to improve their game

Mind Set – Slowing down the game plays a major part in going to the next level- Players will learn ways to do just that. Warm up routines, hitting approach, on field communication and managing your emotions in big in game situations.

Individual Positions – Polish and refine the unique skills needed at different positions on the field. Throwing program, defensive positioning, cutoffs and relays and plate discipline.

Camps will be Monday – Thursday 9am – 1pm @ Baseball Nation North Ball fields.

Each week there will be awards given out in the following categories:

– Camp MVP – Fighting heart award (Most Improved) – Camp Hitting Champion

All Mesquite camps are designed and led by retired MLB player and BN 14U AAA Mavericks coach, Choo Freeman. Choo has played at the highest level and has an enormous amount of knowledge to pass down to our youth. He was coached and has played with some of the best players in the game.
